I'm Tehya, I'm 21 years of age and I am a first time mother to a handsome blonde haired blue eyed boy. I currently live on an Island off the east coast of Australia, but hope to one day flee for somewhere different. This blog is a dedication to my son and my adventures through mummy-hood. Every day is a learning curb that sometimes takes us by surprise, but together we always pull through the toughest situations with the love and support of our family.
Haven’t been on here for so long because it feels like my life has been in fast forward for the past few months. Dallas turned 2 then we moved house and from there it has just been nuts. I finally got Dallas booked into a daycare and he starts on the 5th of June. I’m looking forward to him making some friends and also me hopefully finding something I can do while he’s there. I don’t know what yet though. A casual job or study. Decisions decisions…
Last Thursday was Scott’s birthday, so we decided to do something fun as a family. We ended up at Australia zoo because we knew Dallas would have a ball! And that he did! Every animal we saw he would loose his mind and yell its name out and try to climb the fence to get into its enclosure! We got to pat koalas and feed the kangaroos and see sooo many more animals. Running around the zoo however were these lizards I think they were water dragons? I dunno I’m no reptile expert. Anywho as we were eating the picnic I packed Dallas was sitting in his pram and eating his ham sammy then all of a sudden this lizard jumps up onto his leg and tried to grab his lunch!!!! I let out a massive squeal which I think frightened the thing half to death because he ran away quick smart! And caused other people to look at me like a fool, all Dallas had to say about it was ‘bye lizard’ -__-. Over all a great day was had by all of us.
Yesterday Scott and I took Dallas to a lake that has tonnes of ducks, fish, turtles, bugs, lizards and other things. To say he loved it is an understatement, he lost his MIND seeing and feeding all the animals. Not to mention all that running around made this little dude sleep for 4 and a half hours!! I ended up waking him up in the end as it was nearing 5pm and I didn’t want to have a night owl on my hands. Since we have returned from the lake he has not stopped talking about all the things he saw and I even caught him trying to use my phone to talk to Nanny about the ducks and turtles! Every post I say the same thing but my gosh this kid is growing up so fast, and here I am caught in mixed emotions of joy and sadness. xo
This past week has been NUTS!!!! My Mum is still on holidays and so is my older sister so every time spent is with them both and Amelia too. We have been to the beach so many times its not funny! I also got to visit my twin sister who lives on the Gold Coast which Dallas thought was great because we went to about 4 different parks and the beach in one day!! Seriously as soon as my head hits the pillow I pass out straight away and do not wake up once until morning! The only thing that sucks is my pasty white skin not tolerating so much sun in one week and being burnt day after day even though I apply layer after layer of suncream…. I will never win. I need to start posting regularly so I don’t fill your dashes with a million photos at once. -__- I just haven’t had the time recently.
